My name is Tatyana Shevnina and I'm the owner of TaxTrunk.

Instead of a headshot, my picture illustrates my interests. Here, I'm running the 5K at the 2019 SF Marathon.
Experience
I started at H&R Block in 2007 and later worked at a boutique tax firm in Silicon Valley from 2013 to 2019.

Interests
- Real estate - this is a well-known path to wealth and financial freedom. My goal is to achieve the real estate professional tax status for myself and help others do the same.
- Personal finance - the power of compound interest, making money in your sleep, Rich Dad Poor Dad. There's something for anyone's aha moment.
- Running - running outside is my preferred exercise. It's a great way to clear the head, brainstorm or just be. A lot in life is a process and not an event, similar to running for several miles rather than sprinting to the end of the block.
- Poker - it's fun, it's exciting and you can learn a lot about yourself and others in the process.
- Minimalism - this is an aspirational interest. Simplicity affords freedom.
